New tub was a good plan !

So it was the tub seal at the bottom that leaked?
Where did u find a new tub for it?
She should take John’s advice and switch up her laundry habits.
If she doesn’t want to do any of her laundry on hot water, then every month or two run a full empty load with hot water and a cup of powdered Tide and some LCB to keep the machine from building up.
Show her the pic of the outer tub so she can see.

Good job

machine reassembly

Finally, putting the machine back together and hope to be able to start water testing tomorrow! Our humidity has been pretty terrible with trying to get paint to cure on that center post combined with me being a bit of a perfectionist.

I inadvertently ended up with some paint on the metal mechanisms that protrude through the center post. I have wiped the paint off, but it seemed to have a coating of some type of grease on it, which is now wiped off as well. Do I need to reapply something there after cleaning that area?

@stan, I just realized I forgot to reply to your previous post. The old tub seal was hard and had last about all of its rubberyness. We have a large appliance parts store here (Mid South Appliances). I bought the last one they had in stock at this location.

Your restore

Excellent job!!! Mrs. Doris has great taste in old washers. I searched profusely for a TOL set like that with the black and red control panel.
