Kenmore dryers for sale

This one is from a recent Craigslist ad; the others are older ads but they're still up at this moment.

This one says it has Soft Heat and Wrinkle Guard, which would make it a sensor dryer. It's for sale in Eugene OR for $30.

With this console and dial-style, wouldn't this place it in the 1966-1968 time frame? Would that make this one of the earliest examples of a sensor dryer with Wrinkle Guard?

Dryer models:

The first one is a 1970 Model 70 dryer. There was a 1967 model that looked exactly like this, except the 1967 models had a black dial, whereas the one pictured above is clear plastic like the 1970.

The second dryer is an LK from 1977 - 1980

The third is a 1968 Model 800

The fourth is a 1974/1975 Model 60 I believe.

My Lady Kenmore is an electronic sensor but no wrinkle guard. I believe is from 1966. has three gold buttons, heat, air, start & dial 1-8 for dryness. Dial does not move & no timed cycle. We bought it used in 1969.

WRINKLE GAURD

This feature was not introduced until 1968. It was invented by WP and used on KM and WP high end dryers from then on through the present. To me it was a very useful feature, I would call it the next best dryer innovation since the when the electronic sensors were added to clothes dryers. The WG system re-fluffs the load of dry clothes every five minutes for 10 seconds in room temp air, this lasts for 2 1/2 hours or until you open the door to remove the clothes. Even if you leave the clothes in the dryer the full 2 1/2 hours it only results in the dryer running an aditanal 5 minutes with no heat.

I think the filter on top KM & WP dryers are the best on the market. Clothes come out dried just right and they are pretty quiet in operation.

TOP FILTER WP BUILT DRYERS

Allen I will second your comments on top filter dryers. Ever since WP came out with the long filter dryer in 1966 I think its the hands down best all around dryer ever made. Don't get me wrong there are lots of very cool dryers out there but you can't beat a 29" WP dryer.
