Hello all! I have a 2002 Kenmore Elite washer. The washer can be seen in the link below. I am wondering if someone can help me identify the part number for the spacer(s) that sit in between the bottom agitator and auger? There appears to be two kinds of washers or spacers, if you will. One fits into the other. I am curious what the part number is for these because I can't seem to find them.

You can see in the video how the agitator wobbles. This is because it is missing the smaller washer (spacer) that sits inside the larger on top of the bottom portion of the agitator.

You need to plug in the agitators part number especially the lower piece, it should bring up the whole parts list somewhere on google that will list the part numbers for each piece of the agitator. Nobody ever talks about this, but all the older whirlpools from the 80s and 90s with the long post bottom piece agitator and thicker upper fins were extremely wobbly and annoying making softener spill during agitation. Whirlpool corrected this issue in the 2000s with the shorter post lower piece agitator which the length of the post was a little shorter maybe an inch or so….and where the top piece fits on is designed differently. Those agitators are so incredibly smooth and no wobblying, JayKay18s 2009 Whirlpool has this agitator and his older model has the longer post agitator where it’s wobbly. I’m going to order one for my 96 Direct Drive, the wobbling of the top piece drives me insane.

Here is the diagram, but I'm not seeing the smaller washer that goes inside? I am referring to part #27. Here is a video show it in more detail.

I'm not if the smaller piece that goes in #27 is suppose to be there, but without it, it wobbles.

You can switch out whole agitators on direct drives?

I thought you can switch out parts but not entire agitators. I'd love to have a dual-action agi in my DD, model number is LSB6000PQ1, a relatively BOL model with the surgilator. It does well but I'm partial to the auger type.

Perhaps this flat item (thrust washer 8055228) is what you're seeking?

It doesn't mate to all dual-action agitator designs, and apparently has been substituted now to a different-style item under the same part number (WP8055228).

Here's another of a slightly different design (appears to be less flat) and part number. Agitator Cam/Thrust Washer

But really, your agitator is OK.

So the piece you listed goes with the this style triple action agitator? What about this piece?
