In the early 90s catalogs, Sears had a Kenmore range hood that was very deluxe. It had touch controls and a heat sensor that would turn the fan on and increase if needed. It also had an alarm that would go off if necessary. I believe it was variable speed. The cloeset hood they seem to have now has a variable speed control but no touchpad or sensor. I was wondering if these were unreliable. I never saw any in person, only their more standard hoods.
There were also some slide out hoods in the catalogs that seemed to be made of glass and could slide in or out when needed. Seemed interesting, but again I never saw any.
