I know how bad Sears service can be but the bottom line is that,if in fact they did buy it brand new with a full warranty, the entire washer is covered,"bumper to bumper",and I would have them get in touch with Sears main customer service number and report it.If their front loader is shredding, terring or fraying their clothes, something is definately mechanicaly wrong with it.I have had enough front loaders in my life to know they're a lot gentler on clothes than any top loading machine.I'd return it for a replacement or full refund and change over to another brand like L.G or Frigidaire.I would surely not buy it from Sears again either. They can be ruthless.I just settled a dispute with them on my account.I had purchased a Kenmore Elite front loading set made by Frigidaire in 2000.I got them with a 3 year service plan and they gave me 12 months 0% on my card.I had 2 accounts and paid at their paybill desk every month with two seperate checks. One for each account. They closed their paybill desk and had cashiers do the paybill procedures.I was sceptical of that from day one but it wasn't untill I needed service that I found out the cashiers were using both checks on one account and not the other.I received no notice,no phone call telling me of any latenesses or delinquincies.I called to get service on my washer(it was now 14 months old and the barings had already taken a crap)only to find out they had discontinued my service plan and my cost for repair was going to exceed $750!!!!!To make a long story short. After years of anger and discust,I just received a letter from their lawyer to let me know they were refunding all I paid them in full for the pair, all the interest and court costs.Evidently, there's a major sute coming up regarding their cunning, coniving eays of harassment their collectors have been practicing.I can either take their offer($4,872) or wait to see if they lose the case against them and get a fraction of the amount awarded.
