Hi. My sister bought my grandmas condo about two years ago that our grandma bought in 2010 which at the time came with a Kenmore by Frigidaire laundry center. This condo can only accommodate the stacked washer dryer laundry center. The Kenmore laundry center is still working great and has never had a problem all of this time & now something’s going on, which I don’t know is the machine or the electric. The washer and dryer are the only machines on this breaker. Recently when the dryer is running it’s been tripping the fuse. The last two times the dryer has been ran it’s been tripping and my sister resets the fuse and it works just fine again and doesn’t do it again. Any ideas? She went to wash towels a few nights ago and when she pulled the timer for the washer the water didn’t come on, and she had to reset the breaker and figured it had to of tripped the last time she used the dryer. She wants to replace the whole machine but I explained that it could be the electrical because a lot of the wiring in the condo was installed wrong, our dad already fixed a ton of the electrical in the living room but of all these 15 years why would it now begin tripping if it is an electrical problem? She doesn’t wanna have to replace the whole laundry center if that’s not the cause, because she only wants a new set and those are over a grand so any ideas let me know, thanks!

You reference "fuse" and "breaker" ... presumably it's a breaker. Breakers can age and weaken. Wiring connections can loosen, at the cord attachment to the machine and at the breaker box.

Both should be examined and corrected if needed. Then proceed further into the machine if the problem continues.

It's not "working fine" if the breaker tripped on two successive runs. I replaced a breaker for a 120v bathroom circuit a few years ago. It was making a slight buzzing noise and became slightly warm with a space heater operating on the circuit. The replacement doesn't do that.
