Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

AWESOME Kenmores! I wish I had a pic of the set I had in the early 90's (92 or 93) TOL with the dual auction agitator and triple dispenser.

@ Frigilux....

"Frigilux (Eugene)":

As promised earlier this week (sorry for the delay.... had a couple of late days at work.... yep.... even leading up to the holidays), with qualifications, here are the scans of the 1960 Kenmore Model 80, and in the next frame, the 1960 Lady Kenmore.

But because I cannot seem to locate my 1961 Sears Catalog (I think I am getting another one), I won't be uploading the 1961 Lady Kenmore. But trust and believe, if you follow the POD, the 1961 Lady Kenmore Dryer is shown as the POD sometimes. Well, the panel of the 1961 Lady Kenmore Washer is an exact duplicate of the Dryer.

To you and all of my AW.org family, Happy Thanksgiving....

Thanks and Enjoy.....

P.S.: First up..... the 1960 Kenmore Model 80!!!!! Here's Image # 1

Kenmore Washers !

Greg ( gansky )...Which I never forget said , That all washers have there beauty !

And I agree from the top of the line to the bottom Kenmore washers had the most styles as well as agitator designs then any other brand.

Gordon the three cycle model is my faverite we had this model in my family for 10 yrs and one of the strongest Kenmore's

I encounterd , the pump on that machine was so strong you can feel the floor vibrate !

All of you guy's kenmores or so speacial and beautiful !

Here are mine...

This model is my friends which I made him get out of the garage swapped out from a modern 2004 GE for now... the agitator

grooves whore out need's a replacement.

So I cleaned up this Solid State electronic model and that's what's running now.

Ben ( Swestoyz ) also had this machine , I'm not sure if he sold it yet.

Washing...

The agitator is my faverite... the only baseless agitator's that I know of.
And it is really gentle.
Check out the floating sock on the left side of the tub.
I call this washer The Screeming Woo Woo !

For Bob ( appnut )

Step down agitation.
That noise in the background is my friend Bill who just past...even when I can not see him in this video, it feels comforting that he was around.

RevvnKevin,

I'm not Kevin but can I chime in about the Kenmores:
1.  The lids.  They opened to the left and stood up, but eventually, through wear or kids being rough with the washer, eventually the lid would be bend down to the point that it would damage the porcelain and rust.  I remember Kenmores with 2 "wounds" where lid can down on the left.  Actually, I like the lid being hinged in the back best, which Kenmore has had in recent years.

2.  Agitator:  Kenmore offered many so if you didn't like one just buy a model with the one you liked.

3.  The control panels:  I call these the "Star War" panels beceuse of the black background and they came out around the time the movie was released.  But I really like the chrome and colored buttons that made Kenmore unique in the past and they looked like they belonged in an "optimistic" mid century house.  Eventually, everyone had the black control panels - which I am sure were cheaper to make - and there was nothing unique.

But there was a unique washer and dryer I wish I had bought - The black Limited Edition of 1986 in black.  Darth Vader, your laundry room is ready.

I agree Bob well said !
I love the Black Darth Vader pair I just saw them last night at my friends house,
where we had Thanksgiving.

Here is Martin with the my wood button model.
This guy does not agitate but it spins.
I have not got around to fix it yet.

Post 558913 Kenmore Pastel Rocker Switch Washer and Dryer

I was wondering if anyone in the club has the washer with the one touch feature with the pastel rocker switches. I have never seen it on here. I have the one touch dryer in white excellent condition and am looking for the washer.

Wasn't there a video on YouTube that compared all the different Kenmore agitators, or was it just a couple of the Kenmore agitators. I had it saved, but lost it when my old computer died.
