Toast often looked like baby caca brown. This looks more like almond. Toast was so ugly that it made Platinum, which often seemed to resemble 1950s government office furniture, attractive.

The way you're saying Toast, I'm sure you mean the color--not I hope whether or not it works...

 

I have seen Toast color appliances and they are a shade of brown...

 

And I'd seen one example which was a Kenmore electric range which was discarded and maybe owned by one of old boss's son as it was in front of a house on a street he'd lived on with a Buick in the driveway, and he'd worked for GM, and my boss always drove a Buick, too...
