1972 Model 300. Very interesting washer. Console design was very much a throwback to 1962 except for the colors.

I was thinking a 1963 console myself.
If no one has one, what I would do, is spray paint he knobs, and mask off the chrome areas, spray paint the black area, then detail in the squares with gloss silver or metallic chrome paint with a small brush, or a Q-tip. The area around the knobs is fine.
Unless, an auto chrome restorer can re chrome the other area of the console, then just blacken the background area around the squares. It's almost a dying art. Otherwise, I'd use chrome metallic paint on the chrome area.
It might clean up fairly well with a steel wire wheel on a bench grinder? Or is it pitted badly on the lower left?
