I am replacing the old metal pump with a new pump on my CyclaFabric washer and the instructions say if you are replacing the metal pump for the first time with the plastic pump you need to use washers on the bolts. It mentions part #285172 for the washers but I don’t get any hits on that when I search on google. I’m assuming they are just standard flat washers but my question is where do they go in the second picture? I show them in two spots in the pic. It says if you don’t use them the pump cannot be tightened properly.
Thanks

Whirlpool built belt drive washer pumps

Hi Tom, when you put a plastic pump in to replace the metal pump, you put a washer just like your picture number two shows under the head of the bolt that way when the bolt is tightened it clamps both the diecast metal part of the pump frame and the plastic body of the pump together and hold them snuggly.

You should not have a washer on top. The metal bracket on the pump should be clamped against the ear on the transmission.
