Kenmore Washer Specs - Can't Get It From Sears!!

I have a Kenmore washer, 80 series,

model 110.28803890 , ser # CH3540206

I'm trying to get the capacity of this washer, either in cu. ft. or in lbs (because it's ~10yrs old) -- Sears doesn't have this info! All they have is exploded parts diagrams with no specs.

I'm also trying to find out the year of manufacture, I think it's around '96 but I'm not sure --

It's incredible that I can't get this info from Sears -- I haven't tried WP yet, I have the part number for the inner tub
-- 351989 -- but before I spend another fruitless hour on the phone with WP parts I thought I'd try the experts here --

Any shot that someone knows or has the capacity of this washer?

Should be a 3.2 cubic foot tub. Judging from the model # it seems to be a 1998 model.

Thanks -- it boggles my mind that I can't get this from Sears -- their whole 750,000 parts catalog is online but I can't get a spec for a washing machine --

P.S. -- We just bought a Maytag LAV 3600 to replace this Kenmore (80 Series, 110.288038990) -- the Maytag is 2.9 cu.ft. -- is that appreciably smaller than 3.2??

Kenmore tubs are slightly bigger....narrower but deeper than a Maytag. As long as the Maytag has the Loadsensor agitator, you're fine.

Thanks -- does the LAV3600 have Loadsensor? Is there an actual real-world difference between 2.9 and 3.2 cu. ft.? Like an extra towel or something?

Yes, the LAV3600 does have the Loadsensor agitator, and is the dependable care design that Maytag built it's reputation on, though the orbital tranny isn't as durable as the previous tranny. Don't get too hung up on the numbers....2.7 vs 3.2 cu ft. Whirlpool tubs are bigger. It's the action of the agitator that increases capacity more than the size of the tub.

Thanks -- so the Loadsensor w/ a 2.7 (not 2.9)tub is real-world not too much less capacity than a WP 3.2?
