Oh wow! That’s a 1973 model radio dial. I would say kind of a rare model and in harvest gold no less. Now I want that one too. Lol!
Very handsome machines, I always found those to be.
Dammit... Hubby was actually in San Jose for the past 5 or 6 days at a conference. But did he get me this? NO....
The machine seems to be in decent shape, too. Kudos to the seller for taking
excellent pictures of the tub, lid, and model plate!

Being new to all of this, I'm constantly amazed by the variety of just plain cool machines that have been produced by various brands over the years.
Oh, to have unlimited resources, a warehouse-sized building, and a few of you knowledgeable, talented, mechanically inclined individuals on speed dial!

One thing I've found - when someone lists an appliance for free, they will usually be swamped with replies from scrappers. An offer to pay a small token amount ($10 or so) "for their time" will usually bump you right to the top of the list, maybe even having them hold it for you.

Scrappers don’t really exist here much. People pick up the used washers and dryer to fix and sell. A machine of this vintage is useless to them. Took me forever to give away an old stove...no one wanted it for it’s abundant metal content. Someone finally just needed a free working range.

I talked to Gary and will make plans next week for Transit Systems to fetch it for me.He said he bought the machine new and still has the matching dryer.He also said he recently replaced the original cone filter. This will make a wonderful addition to my E-Z Sudsit Laundromat at my future home the Hotel Costa Plente currently under construction.
