Jeff and everyone, I have a Kirby classic with the red bag. What do you use to shine up the removeable head? The aluminum is rather dull and unattractive now. Thanks, Gary

Super fine steel wool, and Mother's aluminum polish
These will make that Kirby gleam!

I've been absolutely amazed with the results Mothers and steel wool gave me. I've been shining all my vacuums (that aren't painted of course).

Flitz works great, too!

Hi Gary!

While Mother's Mag Wheel aluminum polish is great, you can also use a product called, Flitz which is blue and is water-based. Kirby's version, AutoSol is pink and is oil-based. Kirby's AutoSol can only be purchased from them. Flitz can be found in most older type hardware stores. Flitz uses the claim that only a small amount is needed which can be a good thing since it means that there is less to wipe off.

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a Kirby come to life as you polish it. If there is nothing good on TV, I head to the basement, grab a vacuum and just relax and polish.
