Ok, since I just turned 16 (May 31st,) I have decided to give myself a birthday present of my own. One of the options for my present would be to get my Kirby DS 50 refurbished. How do I go about doing that? I know you need the manual page that has the serial number on it but, who do I contact? How much will it cost? Can I request a Sani-emptor? Mine has the regular bag right now. Also, where can I get a manual? And where on my Kirby is the serial number located? Thanks!

A Sani-emptor bag should have come as standard equipment with your machine. The nameplate-SN plate is on the bottom of the motor housing. You will need to turn the machine upside down to see it.You may have to polish and clean the unit yourself--Does the machine run OK?do you have any technical knowledge to work on the motor yourself? If not, most Applianceville members can help.Congradulations on your find-and does it have the attachments? You have a very nice model.Whats sort of bag assembly is on your machine-does it use paper bags?

Happy belated birthday! Another Gemini, woo-hoo! we're the best! Anyhow, I'm curious as to what this model looks like. Could you send us some pics? As far as a manual, you might check ebay, (which now has a "want it now" feature), you just might get lucky. Happy Kirby-ing.
