My kitchen aid 23 is leaving bits of food on my dishes both top and bottom. Both arms are spraying water properly, filter under bottom washer arm is intact, water is getting fully pumped out at the end of the cycle . . . The only issue I can find is that the water level after it fills is below the heating element. When I add a gallon of water after it fills after each time it fills during a wash cycle, the dishes are pretty much clean. I do see food specks on top of the filter under the lower wash arm, though. Is that normal? I checked my water line and water seems to be flowing through it fine. The water line going up the side of the dishwasher seems clear, too. There is a part between these two water lines that I didn't investigate. Could this be causing the problem? Is there a way to clean it out? How high should the water be in the basin once it is filled?
