Does anyone know where I could buy a spray arm support for a Kitched Aid dishwasher model KDC-18. I have the part number 4162724 but is is showing as nla on the parts web sites thanks. Tom

I think it's even nla with Hobart too.  IIRC a recent thread indicated that these components are nla for the 21 series, but I think Hobart was more involved with series 18 and may have chosen to support those models longer.  There's no harm in contacting Hobart to find out if you haven't already done so, or our resident Hobart information resource SteveT will likely post the answer here soon enough.

Numbers and NLA

Hobart sold Kitchenaid over 25 years ago and while they used the 18-20 series style components for a few years after that, they revised the design of the washarm support and even departed from the 4 way Hydrosweep arms altogether.
Calling Hobart for an old style support will be usesless as they have been NLA for almost 20 years now.
The pictures I will attach will show you the new style arm and support which I have used in my 18 and 20's for years myself. It does a fantastic job but the parts can be pricey. If you want a set as a daily driver, then it is probably worth it. You will never have a washarm bushing wear out and slide up to block the water to the lower arm. But to retrofit a machine which is primarily for display and nostalgia, it can be an expensive choice.

We use these components in the current production SR24 series machines. They are easily installed in the 18-20's but you will have to purchase the stainless steel strainer and remove the section that curves up so it will fit your machine in applications which have the sump heater. If your machine lacks the heater, then the filter will fit right in. If you are interested in this setup, email me and I will give you part numbers and prices on the items.

OOPS..one more thing

The washarm you see in the picture was the original style which had clean out plugs on the ends. They are no longer used and the arms today have slightly smaller holes for the water to shoot out of the arms which produce a sharper, more cleansing type of spray. You have to have a trained eye to notice the difference but it does an incredible scrubbing job like that.
