Could someone tell me the procedure for putting the top and bottom door panels
on? Also please tell me how/where the black metal piece that goes on first is installed.

I'm pretty sure the top panel is secured by the chrome trim strips on both sides of the door.  You only have to remove one of them to insert the colored or stainless steel panel.

Same goes for the bottom panel, but installing that whole panel assembly onto the machine can be really frustrating.  You have to angle it out at the bottom and inward at the top, lift it up and over the tabs that hold the top edge in place, then attach the bottom L-brackets to the frame with screws.   It could easily take you several tries, as it's mostly done by feel.  Always pull outward at the top to make sure it's securely hooked.  It will pull right off if it's not.  Don't bother doing anything with the bottom until the top is properly in place.

My experience has more than once been that the top refuses to attach, but after a bunch of attempts it finally does, but I never have any idea about what I did differently.

Eddie,(Toploader55) can you roll the tape?

Ed, can you attach the link of the video on how to attach the lower panel that you graciously uploaded to Youtube a few years back?
Thanks,
Steve

Eddie, the link doesn't work because you're logged-in to your YouTube account when copying the URL and it includes reference to "edit" related to that along with the video ID.  YouTube picks up the "edit" reference and tries to bring up the specified video for people who may be logged-in to their own YouTube account, and of course your video doesn't exist in their library.

This one should work for everyone:

Where does this part go?

Thank you for all the replies! The video is very helpful! So the large top panel goes on first? I am posting a picture of a black metal part. I didn't see a part like this in the video. Is it a kick plate and does it go on after the small bottom panel or before? With the flange facing in or out?

My bottom panel doesn't have any insulation, should I try to replace it? Is it just for noise reduction or does it have another purpose?
