KA Experts: Whirlpool or Hobart??

Does this the model use a purge, and then one final rinse, or does it have two final rinses after the main wash.

OK, can we get clarification again on "Please Wait?"  I thought it was on the 23 series, when Whirlpool's influence started to show, that the "Please Wait" lamp appeared. 

 

It seems Superbas like this are popping everywhere but near me.  Sigh.

It probably is a 23.  Doesn't make much of a hill of beans to me.  If it's porcelain interior and racks dishes like a KitchenAid, unless it has the name Hobart on it, the ones that started with the  21 series Whirlpool influenced on thorough the 23 are all pretty much the same to me.

I had been under the impression for a long time that the 23's had a new and ugly control panel compared to the 21 and 22 series.  I guess that design change didn't happen until the 24's.   From now on I'll not limit my search to the 22 series "Whisper Quiet" Superba.

This is an awesome dishwasher if working correct.
It used a great amount of water, and will clean just about anything put into it.
Even sounds Hobart Made while running!!!
The only issues I ever had with these is the one rinse. I can't get past that!
I do recommend this dishwasher if it is working correctly.

I've not had any trouble with the single rinse.

 

When we had a KUDI-21 at our other place, I started to get persistent bubbles on the surface of the water when I'd fill the glass coffee carafe after it had been through the machine.  I'd have to rinse the carafe before I could use it.  It could have been an issue with the rinse aid dispenser, but I never investigated.

 

The ISE Classic Supreme I use currently provides only a single final rinse and I've had no such issues.

Is a KUDS-23 made by Whirlpool. Although some concepts of the Hobart design were retained this is a WP machine at heart. That said it is still a top performer and will easily outwash and out last any dishwasher made today. It uses the super effective WP Powerclean module combined with the Hobart washarm and racking system and the Tri-Dura tub for a nearly unbeatable machine.

Ralph, it depended upon which style of panel you opted for.  Thjis one is more "classic" as you see.  There was another style that had big fat buttons and was color-coordinated with the machine panels.

Thanks Bob.  Good to know I wasn't imagining things regarding the fat-button panels on 23's.  I'll bet the "classic" panel models cost less when new even though they're much better looking.

Ralph just occurred to me.  The "fat button" panels as I call them, I do believe they were intended to blend in more with std. drawer height.  Notice the slight pic of the drawer just to the right of the machine.

Architect Series units had a console intended to match standard drawer height, and square-ish buttons.
