Ok, seriously, is Louie still looking- this Superba looks very nice…KDA(?)-17 which is one of the best KA made, so some say.

Louie is still looking, but he wants a multi-level wash design as well as automatic water heating due to his building's inconsistent hot water temperature during different times of the year. thus a 19-22 series would meet those requirements.

Good Dishwasher ??
Not knowing much when it comes to dishwashers, is this a good KA ??? compared to a KDS-18, as far as washing/cleaning ???

This has one level wash vs. the 18 having a wash arm below both upper and lower racks.

Actually this is a Superba KDS-17AC. This one has a black energy Saver Dry Heat off button to the left of the handle.
I didn't think the 17's had a heater......still a clean unit....and in nice shape for its age.....

That was my mother's first KA...identical down to the coppertone. I remember when the drying element went out she didn't replace it, she just started using Sani cycle 'cause it heated the water hotter and then just opened the door. A huge cloud of steam and in seconds literally the dishes were dry! I can still remember the sounds it made when I pushed the start button (what a thrill for a 3-year old)....motor would start for a few seconds, then pause while timer clicked several times, motor restart and water solenoid opened, then the sound of the pump building pressure. Memories....life was so much easier 41 years ago!
