What about a matching dishwasher?

Now don't we all have to admit that those gorgeous cabinets and countertop really deserve a Hobart Built KDS18,19 or 20 with the simulated burled walnut insert on the control panels of those models? What a perfect match it would be!Plus the convertible panel kit?(not to mention great cleaning and fast cycles!)

Stevet wish we did have a Hobart made dishwasher. Have a 3 year old Kenmore Elite tall tub.

dirtybuck insurance is paying for most of the redo. We are having to pay for some things as they were not damaged but wouldn't match what we are putting in. Biggest cost is the new builtin oven.

They are putting in the bifold doors to utility room today alnog with the sink, DW and oven and work on the wood flooring in family room.

temps

If it was 68 degress outside and you opened the windows to air the place out, why would you need to wear sweaters? God, I wish I lived in a place that was 68 all the time.

Make me an offer I cannot refuse!

WESTY,
Are you sure you want that tall tub in there? I can have a KDS20 ready for you if you want one! It is my current daily driver but have only been using it now for about 2 weeks. Replaced the KDS18 we have had for years and years. Actually have been using it as the old daily driver for like 19 years! WOW, forgot how old it is and still looks great!
We really aren't that far from Arkansas! Right off I-95 and only about 15 miles south of St Augustine's last exit going south on 95!

Update

Things are almost done. When they brought the sink and dishwasher from storage the sink was dented so they have replaced. The DW has scratches on the front, the control panel had a large ding in it and the bottom rack is now catching on the left side we think from being bent. Have removed today to take for Sears repair to look at. We are not happy. My wife's office is about a block from the Sears reapir and parts so she said she will haunt them.

Stevet would be nice to had the KA 20 but too far from here. I will post final pictures when the DW is reinstalled. Cabinets are almost done have 4 dooors being redone as they did not fit correctly.

Not that far!

Seriously, If you are interested in the machine maybe You Crate won't be that expensive! Give it a shot, just remember it is an old tank of a machine and would weigh about 200 pounds crated!

Backsplash

The tile backsplash is going to be installed today. All the work is done other than this. Will take pictures tonight.

Tile removal

I saw in there you had some tiles removed. I tiled my own kitchen and den a couple years ago and well...it was a learning experience let's say. I would love to remove the tile down to the backerboard and start again. Does anyone have any ideas how that could be accomplished? I don't want to go down to the subfloor if I can avoid it. Actually I put in screws every 6 inches on the backerboard per instructions in a tiling board I bought at HomoDepot. So that would be a nightmare! Thanks guys for any assistance!

TNmike, it's not that hard just messy. You need to get a couple of tiles out the hard way - bash them to bits - then you can get a crowbar or flat shovel and start popping them off. Use a shovel to scrape off the backerboard. Depending on the condition you may have to put a skim coat over the old backerboard.
