I figure she will be singing the tune in the not to distant future, We have a kuds2380, it doesnt say by hobart, but it looks inside just like the one posted. It is a great d/w. Why in the world would she not just change the front panels. You just cannot find anything New like this. Ours has the black panels like yours gary no chrome though it is monochromatic black. Whisper Quiet is a true description. alr2903.

I know exactly what you are talking about.......Absolute perfection in this dishwasher......The panels on mine are reversible...I think almond....white and maybe gold????Have not checked in a long long time....I purchased this dishwasher NEW in 1992..and NEVER a repair

Here is today's lower rack load.....

And for you culinarily challenged AW members.....notice the heat sensitive silicone brush......never a hair on your food again(Ducks and runs).....

This auction is for an early 23 series Superba. The later 23 series had a taller rectangular control panel similar to the 22 series Superba Architect model. There are a few clues that differentiate this one from a 22. The trim around the door latch handle is black instead of chrome, the indicator lights are Heating Water, Washing/Rinsing, Dry, Cycle Complete, and Please Wait instead of the 21 and 22 series' Heating Water, Wash, Rinse, Dry, Rinsed only. And if you look in the bottom of the tub, you can see a strainer covering the entire sump, indicating the modified Whirlpool PowerClean pump (with a KA Gold Seal 1/2 hp motor) rather than the Hobart-designed SureClean pump which dated back to 1983.

The Please Wait light came on when you pushed the Cancel/Drain button, and stayed on until the machine turned off. Evidently, enough people pushed Cancel and then immediately selected another cycle without letting the Cancel/Drain cycle play out to make the Please Wait light necessary.

And apparently not enough people realized that all indicators off and no noise from the machine meant that the cycle was complete, so a Cycle Complete light was deemed necessary.

Overall, a really excellent machine. I have to say, Whirlpool was a good steward of the KitchenAid dishwasher for about 10 years after they acquired it--everything they did really made them better yet.

And then they dumped it all in 1997. Oy.

Tom,
I have to agree with you that Whirlpool made the Hobart design somewhat better with the self cleaning filter, and even the soft food disposer.
I just can't understand however, what they were thinking about with just one rinse? Or not even letting the user pick a second rinse as an option?
What was up with that?
Brent
