Not sure what model this is (I'm strictly a Hobart guy), but it looks TOL. Heating element is not in the sump, so it's a Whirlpool design for sure.

Been There, Done That

I went to look at it earlier this week and passed.  It's really rough inside and out.  While it may work as the owner claims, it certainly can't clean.  It is caked with hard water scale on everything, even the stainless parts of the wash arms.  The filter screen is white instead of black.  It has obviously been sitting outside the house for a long time.

 

I was so disgusted I didn't even bother to check the model number.  It's a pre-23 series that still retains the basic Hobart design, but that's all I know.  It's probably a rare model, but too far gone.  The wash arm barely turned when I tried to spin it.

It looks like a 23 series like your ISE. It would be worth it, for the asking price just to have a donor machine. All that scale will come clean if done right so maybe you should reconsider. The circuit boards alone are worth way more than the whole machine!

Please dont let it go to the crusher..Even the detergent dispenser or rinse dispenser is worth the 50 bucks!

I doubt it is a Hobart.  The use of the term Quiet Scrub implies Whirlpool, which seems to have a habit of brand naming every feature their machines have.  We've heard them....SureCare, Flex Care, Direct Inject, PowerScour, QuietPartner, WhisperQuiet, ProDry. Hobart machines just did it correctly from the beginning  without  names that make consumers think they are getting something.

I don't think it's a 23 series because it has the Hobart system in the sump rather than the WP Power Module, but the utensil basket appears to be the 23 type.  I was viewing this as a possible recipient machine, since I have another functional ISE in the garage, but the picture below presents something puzzling:  Quiet Scrub.

 

Superbas had the "Whisper Quiet" inscription on their panels, I believe beginning with series 22.  I've only seen "Quiet Scrub" on Imperial models.  That's what our KDI-21 had.  Also in the picture below there's no "Sani-Cycle" option as the Superbas had.  The selections are identical to what's offered on the Imperials.

 

For these reasons, I concluded that this is probably a 22 series Imperial (or if they were making them then, Patrician) Selectra model, and it would be louder than the "Quiet System" aKA "Whisper Quiet" ISE currently in our kitchen.  The circuit board would be even more rare than that of a Superba, and if it doesn't work, next to impossible to replace.

 

I couldn't justify the purchase considering the noise factor of "Quiet Scrub" vs. "Whisper Quiet" and the overall condition issues, along with finding room for it in the garage.  The machine looks like it has been out in the elements for quite a while, and we all know the Hobart circuit boards are the weak links on these machines.  I was very tempted when I first saw the ad, but was kind of relieved when I saw the potential project the machine presents and had no trouble walking away.

 

I kind of didn't trust the seller either.  His statement "Works well, nothing wrong with it" in the ad is questionable to say the least.  When I attempted to spin the wash arm, it stuttered and scraped its way around for just a few inches before grinding to a halt.

 

I just don't need yet another parts machine, which is how I view this one, and it would have few usable ones anyway.
