Hey folks,

What foot panel fits the older KitchenAid dishwashers?

I rescued a KUDS230B0 from local Habitat 4 Humanity (for $50). Ran a few loads and got clean dishes :)

The Habitat didn't have the foot panel. I even poked around in their trash bin hoping a worker or donor had dumped the panel. Nope.

Can someone send me a pic of the backside of this generation's foot panel?

I'm hoping your pics will help me fab something together.

Link below is OEM part that appears to be what the foot panel would hang from, and I do have that part already.

Vari-Front Pack

Is what you need to replace the missing lower panel. Obviously, the original owners had a matching wood panel on the bottom. The Vari=front pack allowed you to change the panel colors or add a custom panel to match the cabinets.

Perhaps someone in the "club has either the lower panel alone or a complete panel pack to sell you. They are certainly NLA from Whirlpool. You can also look for another machine that has the panel kit. The kit will have the stainless steel trim along the edges of the panels. Any machine from the 18 thru 23 series lower panels will fit your machine. Your particular model has a smaller upper panel due to the control panel on your machine.

Look around or ask around here and see what turns up. If anyone will have them, John L. (combo52) wikk.

1st I've heard of Vari-front, and now that I Google it there's some manuals mentioning it for those KUD models. thx stevet

My plan is replacing the wood top panel with color or metal.
