I just acquired a beautiful KitchenAid DW, model KDI-57. It appears to have been used no more than a few times. My problem is that it didn't come with the adaptor to connect it to a faucet, and since I'm still new to this, I can't seem to find one anywhere. Also, how can I tell what year it is? Help! Thanks. jimmy

I don't know exact dates but your dishwasher would have come out in the mid 1970's.  The faucet aerator/adaptors are available at any home-improvement or hardware/plumbing shop.

The hose/hookup

set is known as a unicouple. You may have to go to an appliance parts store to get one. You might pay more at an appliance parts store, but you run a greater chance of the counter help knowing immediately what you're talking about. Staff training at big box stores can be hit-or-miss.

Or were you talking about the adaptor/aerator for the faucet itself? If so, it should be packed in a blister card, and available at a big box store like Homo Despot or bLowe's.

Homo Depot

They have all the adapters there.

Lowe's is a better shot but both stores wil have them. I have many portables and KitchenAid will use the wider ones as oppose to the "nipple" types. The "Nipple types" will be for the early KitchenAids (KD2-P) and early GE Mobile Maids up 'till 1970s.

Hope this helps

<span style="font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: medium;">I agree with Eddie. Lowes and Home Depot should have them. </span>
<span style="font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: medium;">They were sold as a "one size fits all" meaning that you bought more then you need. </span>
<span style="font-family: georgia,palatino; font-size: medium;">Still cheap however. </span>
<span style="font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: medium;">If you have trouble finding one, let me know and I will look in the Atlanta Box Stores for you. </span>
<span style="font-family: georgia,palatino; font-size: medium;">Sounds like a nice score you acquired. </span>
