The KDC 7 has the 17 series filter and was the last top loading KA portable made, probably discontinued in the early mid 70s. Mom's has the rinse & hold as well as the soak cycle buttons. During the 17 series, KA introduced the front-loading portables with the control panel on top. They were not the convertibles, although with a full wrap around cabinet, they could be plumbed in at the end of a row of cabinets or some similar place.
