Kitchenaid KDS-20 dishwasher assistance needed

Greetings,
I currently have an old Kitchenaid KDS-20 I am hoping to learn a couple things...
1. does anyone know the exterior dimensions on it? It is to hard to find out without dismantling and we are looking to buy a newer machine and want to make sure something new will fit the current space.

2. how old is this model? I am thinking late 70's early 80's but having a hard time finding info online

3. it still runs but needs work is there any value for these? I'd hate to see it wind up in a landfill if there are collectors out there that like to work on them and hey selling it could offer a little padding to the cost of the new dishwasher

Hi Tim,

Most any dishwasher you buy will fit into the same space, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

 

Your machine dates to the early/mid 1980s, and is an excellent performer (although these days it helps to seek out detergent with phosphates for use with older machines like yours that have shorter cycle times).

 

If you don't want to fix whatever may be wrong with it, you might get $50 for it on craigslist.
