There is an incredible amount of umpf! in these 'little&
Mixers.
When you compare them to the pretty but useless trash KA now markets as their 'tiny' machine, well, there's no comparison.
These are wonderful - and they take all the regular attachments. OK, some might be a strain, but all the usual stuff is going to work perfectly.

Kitchen Aid ever made will fit ANY Kitchen Aid mixer ever made except the Kadette model from the 30s,I have all the attachments ever made up until the 70s, they are wonderful, especially the ice cream freezer!

Remember that older KA mixer was built by HOBART rather than the Whirlpool versions made now.The Hobart built machines are highly coveted-and so many of them like the machine shown are still stirring away today!!!If you find one of these machines at a yard sale or thrift shopsnatch it up without question-and these can be rebuilt!!!Transmission gears ALL METAL-no plastic or fiber gears like today.

Hobart was using a nylon
drive gear in the 70's. My friends mom's wore out after a couple years. The large mixer.
Hobart repair center repaired it no charge.
The basic design hasn't changed much. Still the same Hobart design, with Electronic load compensation, built in Greenville Ohio plant since moved from Troy, in when, the 1970's?

According to their website, the mixers have been made in Greenville, OH since 1941. From what I remember, the factory used to be in the building that is now "The KitchenAid Experience" retail store and museum, which is downtown. The factory is now located a few miles North of town off US 127. I go past there often when going up to my sister's, but have never toured either location. I hope to soon.

there we have it then. Quality since way back. I wonder if they made mixers during WW2, or smaller munitions items?

Interesting to notice the odd items in each of the 4 pictures. A dirty floor, open drawer, paint on the window trim and a hand towel on the back of a chair, industrial racking. Anyone see anything else haha.
