KitchenAid Professional Mixer with a DC motor

I am reading reviews about this mixer being available since 2015. Any members here seen or used one? I like that KitchenAid is finally offering dishwasher safe, stainless steel dough hooks, wire whips and flat beaters. A two year warranty for this commercial models seems great too.

I'm considering one of these myself eventually, no rush.  I've been wondering about reliability.

Like the idea of the SS beater blades.BUT---The ad for the mixer says 500W but the motor hp is like 1.3----HMMMMMMM-something doesn't quite add up-500W is about 3/4Hp 1.3 would be about 1100-1200W.Guess the motor could be loaded to the high Hp but for how long before the board or motor burns out?Anyway does sound like a nice mixer-would like to see someone try one.Right now have my 1200W Viking.Its like a roto tiller in a bowel!It has the SS blades.No coating to worry about or bare aluminum to worry over if put in a dishwasher.

Oh yes remember this machine is NOT Hobart-its WP.If its what the description says--could be a nice mixer.I wonder about using this as a commercial bench mixer,though.Seems like it was made for the household-residential market.

Reliability

I have 5 at school that are 2-3 years old. Two have been replaced under warranty do to a speed contol issue. It would start but turn off when going past two and sometime just stop.
Kitchenaid sent a replacement in about a day or two. Have a third one starting to act up but think it is out of warranty. Another school has the same issue with one so feel they know they have a problem. Maybe the newer ones will not. Other than that, i like them and they are much quieter that other kitchenaid models.

I bought that mixer a few months ago. I like it a lot--especially the eight quart bowl, open bowl handle, power, what looks like cast stainless steel paddle and dough hook (they are really heavy) and NSF rating. I could have gotten a refurbished one for about $200. less, and if I had to do it over again, that is what I would choose. The refurbished model does have a shorter warranty. A bowl shield is not available, and I bought a generic pouring shield on Amazon that works well.

While it was running, I had my hand on the speed control a few weeks ago, and it just stopped when it should have been running. That alarmed me, and I contacted Kitchenaid, and asked if that had been a problem. They told me that I could ask for a replacement, and they would send one out immediately. I decided not to, but I will certainly keep my eye on it.

I still wish I could find an Hobart N50 for a low enough price.  But going on the price alone they must be made of solid gold!
