The plastic has started to crack and peal on the original scraper for my K45SS mixer, and I'm thinking of getting this one as a replacement. Has anyone used one, do you like it, not like it?
In my experience with Kitchenaid using speed 4 creams just fine and nothing gets plastered to the side of the bowl. I seldom if ever scrape the bowl. My scraper paddle blade scoops the goods off the wall of the bowl and cleanly deposits them above the beater blade which requires scraping in back down to reach the paddle at all. I used scissors and trimmed the silicone down about 2 1/2 inches so its scraping the bottom cone shape of the bowl and it works better.
the Beater-Blade and KitchenAid's Flex Edge beater and I prefer the Beater Blade. The spiral curve is more efficient in mixing with less splatter too! It is also easier to scrape clean as well, to get as much of the batter as one can into the pan.

My K45 is OOOLD and still has the paddle with the little continuation of the outside edge above the top of the paddle to take stuff off the upper edge of the bowl. I generally scrape once after creaming and once after the eggs are beaten in and then after all of the flour is added. Does this eliminate all of that? I used a KA with the stooped shoulder paddle and it did nothing to remove stuff on the bowl above the paddle.
has the rubber scraper on one side only. She and I both love it! It does a great job at keeping the sides of the bowl scraped. We purchased it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond last summer.
