It's intriguing to see that my parents' 1992 KitchenAid and this one are not far apart at all (right down to the fan and the gratifying solidity of the 'ker-chunk' latch door). The addition of a spray-arm for the top rack helped, though.
I loved the Hydro-Sweep with the tiny nozzle on the bottom to blast the YukBarf off the filter.
