Whirlpool owns the brands of KitchenAid, Maytag, Amana, and Roper. Tell tale signs on dryers are the lint filter that pulls from the top of the machine in front of the control panel, a Whirlpool design for 40 years now.
Went to Home Depot today and saw the "new" Maytag and Admiral dryers! Surprise! surprise! Like estesguy mentions..same design for 40 years.. both brands had the famous lint filter on the top of the machine in the spot it has been forever. Guess they couldn't wait to end production of the real Maytag line. What a shame.. always liked their dryers over everyone else's.Clothes always came out soft and fluffy.
May have to keep an eye on those top loading dryers when my Kenmore 70 series croaks.
