My daughter recently bought a house with all vintage kitchen appliances. The KitchenAide dishwasher Model Kdb-21 is not working. The lower spray arm does not move/spin. Any suggestions on how to proceed would be appreciated. Thanks! Joe

The spray arm is powered by the water that is forced through it. Although I am no expert, lift the spray arm up and out and look at the underside along with what it sits above when it is in to see if there is an obvious reason for not spinning. The spray are lifts out and goes on very easily.
Check as instructed above and check to see if wash arm spins on support when twirled by hand. See if it sits level or if it can be rocked up and down when you grab one of the arms and lift. You might need a new wash arm support and a new wash arm.

Check the ends of the sprayer arm for clogs. If there is gunk in there the arm should be removed, soaked, and then with a hose rinsed out by shaking the arm from side to side.
