Well...

Who's There?

I don't know if I like having to knock twice (or at all) just to open the door.
I guess, yeah, it's nice that it's flush with the cabinetry if you're looking to hide your appliances but why would you have to hide it if it was a work of art.
What happens when it fails to open?

I'd rather it show. The simple grace of a well crafted handle or pride in showing off your stainless steal or black or white or cabinate matching motif.

That's neat!

Definitely neat! I wonder what happens if some1 knocks while the machine is operating... perhaps it'll halt the cycle and open... duh!

About opening the door in an emergency... I guess there would be a safety lever hidden somewhere (for the user to know) which allows to open the appliance should the opening mechanism fail or if there was a power cut.

I wonder when they're gonna provide their appliances with remote controls... maybe some already have... or have they?

Remote Control

Some range hoods have remote controls. Certainly the ones that are mounted into the ceiling. Miele's TOL units have Con@ctivity, which controls the hood's lights and fan according to the settings of the cook top under it.

My Guess...

Is this is designed for those, who want a Dishwasher, but don't want to see a Dishwasher in there Kitchen.

Too Funny!

I love it! Joe's picture reminds me of Joe Theisman talking about that "sudden urge to go" and you picture a pissplosion. This is better, though, with the door blown off the hinges. Where did you find the picture? Is there any story about it? The silver basket looks like a Maytag.
