Well,
Consumer Reports did a follow up dishwasher detergent piece in the new issue, and they liked the Kroger brand DISHWASHER DETERGENT.
Oddly enough, there aren't any Kroger stores here in this corner of Ohio any more. Food and Commercial Workers is too strong in NE Ohio.

I like it.........I like it alot!
The detergent works very well........been very happy with how it cleans. Also they make a product called "Clean-It" OMG! wonderful stuff..cleans the shower better then anything else out there. You spray it on and let it sit for like five minutes then rinse it off and spotless! Works great on counters.....sinks......tile.......just great stuff. Just be careful about putting it on metal as it will effect the finish so don't spray it on your shower fittings and so forth. Give it a whirl though.

I believe this detergent is sourced from Huish, makers of Sun and most other store brands (Sam's, Publix).

I also thought it was sourced from Huish, but when I went to Kroger and looked on the bottom of the bottle I realized it was not. Detergents and softeners that are sourced from Huish will have an "H" inside a square imprinted on the bottom of the bottle. Upon closer look of the 100 ounce bottle, you can tell that it is a slightly different bottle than the ones Huish uses for detergents. When I was in Kroger I unscrewed the cap to smell the detergent. The scent did not stand out like Gain or Purex, just kinda so so. Another thing I did notice is that it is also available in HE version. This is the first store brand that I have seen in HE.
