Here's a Lady set in Harvest Gold in Memphis,TN. The washer has the "Dual Action" agitator. Might be worth checking out for you guys in west TN, north MS, east AR or other areas!

That is kinda cool! I recently saw a similar vintage Kenmore 70 series dryer here in NC of the same color. These machines are very rare in the Golden Wheat color. 90% seem to be white or almond, with a smattering of Platinum and Toast, but even these are rare. I had an avocado 1983 Kenmore 70 years ago and it was almost a throwback in time. I've never seen a Lady K of this vintage in this color.

Somebody needs to get it before I fenagle some way to do that!

Coppertone is bar none, my favorite color! That's a '76 or '77 Lady. NICE. Can't beat the price either.

COFFEE LADY KENMORE WASHER

Yes I always loved the coppertone color WP&KM used very warm color. This LKM is the after 1976 non shaded brown color called coffee and matched every one else's brown by agreement of all the appliance manufactures. This change occurred at the same time that almond was introduced all colors went to non shaded even poppy.

Right you are...... that Lady Kenmore Washer in Coppertone is a 1976-77 Model alright.

Of all of the Lady K's that were styled like that from that era (1976-86), this one is my favorite out of all of them..... Definitely, the MOST complete out of all of them, that's for sure.

And even having said that, none of those compare to a 1966-75 Keyboard Lady...

Actually, this is an interesting combination post because these two machines, though possibly 10 years apart in age, have something in common - the '76/'77 and '83 Ladies were the last two mechanical timer belt-drive models to reign queen of the lines in their respective years. The years in between had electronic models as TOL either as Lady Ks or Limited Editions. Interestingly, 1978 had both.

Though the '76 and '77 are a tiny bit different in that the '77 had the '76's Knit-Delicate cycle split into two cycles (a worthless marketing ploy) the two machines were essentially the same. 1978's mechanical timer Lady added a fifth water level. The '83, which was produced for four years in seven different colors, actually uses the same timer as the 76/77 and is more or less the same beast but with the slightly downsized tub and basket. Note that the two outer auxilliary switches on the 76/77 (soak on/off and extra rinse on/off) were combined into one cycle modifier switch for all similar models, 1979 and later.

That Coppertone Lady is a beauty. Now I am reminded of the days of running around Sears when these were brand new. Is that cycle knob the original? It looks more like the ones that emerged 10 years later.
