I have decided to give my Lady Kenmore BD portable another try at repair, so I have started to dig into it. I have the cabinet off (the guts look really cool!!!) and now I am tryng to remove the timer for cleaning but I can't find any bolts to unscrew to get it out. How do I get it out?

P.S. It was a disaster trying to get the cabinet off, I broke the drain connection that connects to the outside of the washing machine. and I am pretty sure I'll never be able to remember which screw goes where. **Smacks forhead** I shoulda remembered to label them all!!!!

The cabinet is not meant to come off. There are two hooks that proturde from the gearcase. Once you remove the screws that secure the cabiinet to the base plate you lift the cabinet up and set it on those two hooks. This does necessitate disconnecting the drain hose and fill hose that goes to the tub ring. The repair procedures are in the back of the BD repair manual.

Also, is this the portable with the D shaped opening like the full-sized machines or the compact portable with the round opening?
