Lady Kenmore Ultra Fabric Care Gas Dryer

Hello,
I have a Lady Kenmore Ultra Fabric Care gas dryer. The model number is 110.87692110. Unfortunately the serial number is illegible. Can anyone tell me what year this dryer was manufactured? It squeals a little but otherwise works perfectly. I will be ordering a maintenance kit for it. It seems to be very high quality. The door opens very quietly and smoothly compared to the newer Kenmore Elite dryer that we had previously..

The model year is 1986. It’s possible that it was built up to 5 years after this as Sears was good at keeping some models around like this. In 1992 the panels were changed a little so this one would be between 1986-1991. The second letter or number after the 110 on the serial is the year it was actually built.

I would just take it apart and replace what's needed. It might just need a few drops of oil on the rear rollers bearings, may be install a new belt if it looks bad.

If you buy a maintenance kit, be sure it's a genuine whirlpool one there's a lot of crap out there now and putting in a bunch of imitation rollers belts and idler pulley will only cause problems.

With a little bit of service and depending on how much useless dryer gets, it could easily go another 20 years or possibly more.
