Happy Valentines day to all

I'm proud to say it, that my continuously emotionally repressed husband is no longer emotionally repressed, has opened up and succumbed to the whole Valentines day mood :)

For the first time in 4 years, I've gotten a gushing card, that folds out into 4 pages, with the most touching things he's ever written inside.

I'm leaving work shortly to roast a leg of lamb, with traditional Australian Trimmings and it will be a pleasant evening in.

Best wishes to everyone, and may the path we all take always end in happiness. Eventually things work out right and may all our dreams come true. Its just a matter of climbing the sometimes rocky path to get there.

I've never been much for Valentines day, this year is a bit different though for me.
Its nice, really really nice!

Splurged and bought the nordic ware pan & their cake mix too, and wouldn't you know it....perfect results!~

I did use figs instead of apples, but I think it still turned out delish.

So everyone please have a piece of cake.

oh..it's Spiced Fig & Caramel bundt cake, made from figs I canned in the Flex-seal canner last fall, from a bush my father planted in 1961.

I don't wait for Valentines day to get chocolate otherwise I'd be waiting a long time with him upstairs that I live with LOL.. I buy my own plus then I know I'm getting the good stuff. BTW I just happened to be in Walmart last night and found they had huge 500g (1 lb plus few ounces) Belgian milk chocolate bars for a measly $3.50 so I bought one. It's not exactly the best of Belgian chocolate but not bad, had worse. Unfortunatly all the dark chocolate ones were sold darnit..dark chocolates better for you, it's a scientific factoid LOL
 
And with the chocolate...

Don't forget about the new one-piece, lace foundation garment; zips up the back, and no bones!

Walmart (at least the one here) removes all its seasonal candies from the store immediately the day after.. no getting a deal from them it seems. Fortunately the little valumart up the road doesn't and always has great deals on day after goodies.

Not exactly an auspicious start...

Well, Keith's and my first Valentine's Day together was spent apart, separated by 37 miles, horrid weather, and barfing.
(I've had a stomach bug this week.)

But today the roads are clear, my stomach is better and we plan on spending a romantic evening together tonight.

Why do I suddenly want to start talking like Pepe Le Pew?
