Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I'm reasonably sure Rich is for real. I seem to recall him explaining a while back on the forums how it is he comes by so many awesome machines, something to do with his job. I am also pretty sure there are members who he's given machines to in the past. I don't think he'd be taking the time to save and post these machines, and to offer them for free, if he wasn't for real.

That being said, I've emailed him in the past and I don't recall getting a reply. I chalked it up to him having a strong spam filter. He does post online here, so I'm sure he'll catch up with us at some point.

FWIW, I have a pickup now and I am in central NJ. So its very likely I could give one of these dryers a home, if it was gas. I might also be able to help out someone who is in the NYC metro area if they wanted to get a machine as well.

Well, I sent him another email. I'll wait and see if I get a response this time. If not, then I can almost bet on the final destination of these machines.

Finally...

heard back! Now, I'm hoping I'll be able to make the trip if he has something affordable. Wish me luck!

Yeah, Right and Swamp Land in Florida too?

some of you certainly hit the nail on the head when you accuse this jerk of "teasing" people with washers and partz. He and his cohourt in crime FilterFlo sure know how to pull your cranks.........Rich suffers from "selective" memory about people he bothers to contact back.......He deliberately puts stuff up on here that often does not even exist except in photos only to tease us about wanting stuff....then wont answer his phone (he relies on caller ID---too cheap to get an answering machine) and then only dolts his "finds" out to his "close" buddies and only when he feels like it....We almost got rid of him and did get rid of his jerk friend FilterFLO (goodriddance) so we can add him to the list of "defectors" Mortician,TommyK, Twinkeboy, ChaChaBimbo, etc all...now if we could just get rid of know it alls and that fuzzy headed jew that runs this site..all would be BETTER so stick your washers up your train caboose ass TrainMan, and get lost

Oh my...

I just can't believe I had to read this stupidit post right above mine.

It would be much better if you had balls enough to show your face and use your real profile...

Even with a fake profile I can have an idea about who you are. You wrote exacly like an agressive and insane email someone sent me about an year ago.

To Robert:

Isn't there a way to protect the community from this unwanted gentleman?

You know something? All we're doing is calling him out for what he is: A fake. Is there anything wrong with that?

If I offended anybody:

I apologize. But, please understand our position. I received two emails from TrainGuy, showing machines he had available. He didn't put a price on them. I asked him what he wanted, realizing their true value, which is beyond my financial ability for the most part. I didn't get a response from him. Getting the full value for an item in a sale is very legitimate. Many of his collector pieces are worth thousands of dollars, and I understand. But an antique can't be sold on any price unless the buyer and seller can agree to the proper terms of a sale.

All anybody could ask of TrainGuy is this: Post the item for sale. It can be either on Craigs List, EBay, or it can even be announced on this site. Put a price on it! Somebody will buy! And they'll pay the shipping costs! What more could we want?

jmm63:

The messages exchanged between me and TrainGuy were about Frigidaire Unimatics and Rollermatics. From what I remember, they were not up for donations, but being offered for sale. This is why I was hoping he would quote me a price. I'd like something for an amount I can afford. But that doesn't mean I was expecting him to give it to me without at least being paid something for his time and effort in finding and fixing it. I guess I'm just one of those types who play by the book.

If one of these were available, working, in nice shape and gas powered, I'd be willing to toss a few bucks his way. Can't, because I've never heard from him. Can't imagine he's jerking anyone around, honestly, but its frustrating to never hear anything.

Fuzzy headed jew? Fuzzy headed jews are some of my favorite people. If we "got rid" of the guy who runs the site, how would the site continue to exist? That's just stupid.

The Fuzzy Headed Jew Speaks...

Just ignore that person, he's all part of the same small group of troublemakers. I know who it is because as usual they couldn't have made it any easier to figure out.

I personally know Rich/Trainguy and would vouch for him anytime. I know he's going through a lot right now so if he doesn't respond please give him some time.

Thanks for the heads up, Robert. I truly hope to do some business with him, as he did send me a couple photos I like. One of which is of a Unimatic, the closest thing that even stands a remote chance of being available, to the Pulsamatic my grandmother had. I will definitely clear out a whole collection of model airplanes and find another home for my portable belt-drive Whirlpool and portable Kenmore dryer, just to make room for that one Frigidaire. I sure hope he'll hold it for me.
