Last minute check list

If you're hosting tomorrow:

Bathroom tissue in all bathrooms? Refills?

Cascade, Finish, or whatever your dishwasher detergent of choice might be?

Coffee, fruit juices, or soda-pop-tonic? Uncle Henry stopped drinking this year (something for which to be REALLY thankful!)

Aluminum foil, paper towels, plastic wrap, GladWare containers?

If you're going somewhere as a guest-

Do you have the ingredients for the dish/es you promised to bring?

Do you have travel containers for the dishes? It is poor practise to bring food in breakable serving ware.

Are you going to offer to help with cleanup, and be thankful?

For both:

Film or cards for your camera? Batteries?

Lawrence, days of yore, there wasn't as much a prevelance for plastic, disposeable, foiled recepticals. B-sides, I'm not too thrilled by all those side dishes being cooked in aluminum foil disposeable pans. Can kinda impart a "tinny" flavor. Personally, I try to make something which either can be done in a microwaveable sturdy plastic (from the 1970s) or disposeable foil pans cuz I'm always afraid of falling and breaking something. Crock Pot is the exception.

I had to run to the store this morning... we ran out of butter!
The one thing we forgot! (Well, having one of the dogs get up on the counter and eating 1/2 a stick didn't help, either).
