compaired to today's junk imported crap...

...that might well be worth $ 600 I usually pay ~$10-20 for similar era units in good used condition

40 year old plastic is 40 year old plastic

I'd want to take it apart before even plugging it in to make sure any degraded foam and plastic components were still in good condition or replaced. I'll keep an eye on it and might make an offer if they relist it just to keep it from getting scrapped. But it will be nowhere near $600!
