Since I worked till midnight on Friday, I decided to stay at out new cabin because it's only five minutes away. And just my luck, it came with two washers! Being the college student that I am, staying up till 2 am is nothing out of the norm, so I decided it would be a good idea to fire up the Hotpoint and snap some pics. The other washer is a belt-driven Kenmore that doesn't work, so I'll need your help troubleshooting it.

Washin, as you can kinda tell from the pictures, I was impressed with the wash action, pretty vigorous.

Fortunately I found plenty of water just nearby!
That is just great, you must have really wanted to see that machine going to fill up that washer with a bucket from the lake! 20 years ago I would have done the exact same thing. Those GE/Hotpoints have large outer tubs, that must have taken many many trips down to the dock and back to fill that machine. lol

Did you pull off the outer agitator and try it with the delicate agitator below?

Hotpoint Washer

Had a Hotpoint almost like this one pictured. Bought it in 1985 what a great washer my wife and I still miss it.

Lake water

Looks like that made them dirtier instead of cleaner... If we did that around here, we'd have milfoil growing in our clothes!
