pre-rinsing

Tell him to stop pre-rinsing. All he's doing is speeding up the process of ruining the dishes and racks. All he needs to do is scrape and load and use a premium dishwasher detergent and rinse aid. It is a dishwasher, not a sanitizer. I don't pre-rinse anything in my apartment whatsoever.

We know your views Jerome. I will continue to pre-rinse and my 30 year old Whirlpool's racks are still like new. And no, I will continue to use cheapest store brand detergent. You do what you want and I will do what has worked for me for a lot longer than you have been alive.

You might be able to find used racks for a decent price on Ebay. Worth a shot.
