Ok..

Well I have to confess that I am a bit of a tart when it comes to laundry powder... I tend to buy most brands at least once and then work from there...I have a theory that you can never have enough laundry powder...

So what have I tried of late...

- OMOmatic
- OMOmatic colour
- Drivematic
- Surfmatic
- Duo for front loaders
- Dynamomatic
- Radiantmatic
- Almatmatic ---- this is new from Aldi and is very good though highly perfumed
- Trimat - Aldi - colour, matic and normal (all good)
- BioZet
- OMOmatic small and mighty...

..and some left field

I have some

- Persil tablets from the UK...for that 'need a Britain fix'
- 5x1 boxes of standard old style OMOmatic powder from about 1996...one of the BEST formulas that ever had...

I prefer my washing powders to not have bleach in them and it is interesting to note the Levers have removed it from OMOmatic and discontinued the OMOmatic colour....

So which do I prefer....hard to say...but here is what I would like...

The scent of SURFMATIC with the cleaning power of OMOmatic...

Well I think I share your joy I love walking through the laudry isle and when I see that new tag on a bottle or box it's in my basket. Even if it's new formula i;m a sucka.

Omo Front Loader will always be in my laundry just love omo for cleaning and scent.
Actually Omo in all varieties are always in full stock Powder and Liquid.
Have tried (All Front Loader Versions)
Dynamo with Sard Powder and Liquid
Cold Power with Cuddly
Bio Zet
Radiant Powder and Liquid (Don't Like the fragrance)
Duo
Surf Tropical Powder and Liquid (Great Scent crap cleaning)
Fab (Great Scent crap cleaning)

I also have from the USA
Tide HE Powder and Liquid
Cheer HE
Gain HE (I love Gain)
Wisk HE
And From the UK
Ariel Excel Gel in all varieties
Ariel Liquid Tabs BIO and Colour
Persil Gel Tabs Bio and Colour

I was surprised after reading your post that they removed the bleach from Omo Front Loader I went and checked my box and no more. I'm kinda happy about that I always felt it probably faded darks to quickly. I haven't noticed any less in cleaning ability. Can't wait to see what Colgate do with the new 2x Ultra Liquids

I usually use Tide HE, but with money being a little tight at the moment, I have been using others. Right now I'm using All HE, and it seem to be working well. I have also used Wisk HE (Very Good), All Small and Mighty, and Gain HE. I finally found a couple places that are selling Arm and Hammer HE, I want to try that out as soon as the All HE is gone.

tart as well

Yes I am afraid I am a real tart with laundry products as well,a different one each time really, this is what we have used in the last month or so.
1.Duo-(only bought last week not opened yet)
2.Woolworths Select liquid with eucalyptus(also bought last week, and not opened yet)
3.Cold Power- liquid briliant whites formula(good cleaning, but horrible and gluggy, used last dose yesterday.)
4.Blitz liquid-locally made product(mediocre cleaning and fragrance only bought because of price).
4.Dynamo liquid-(good cleaning but again horrible and gluggy.)
5.Purity liquid-(specail gentle product,my sister likes it for her delicates and who am I to say no to a new laundry product.)
6.Napisan oxyintelligence soaker and detergent booster(can I get away with that one, really good on whites and underwear.)
Has anyone ever tried these "green "type detergents i.e. Aware,Greencare etc?

Before I got my first front loader in 2001, I pretty much used just one laundry product and it was generally fine. But the paucity of good HE detergents at the time led me on a search for effective low sudsing detergents. This in turn led me to "discover" the secret missing ingredient in modern mainstream USA-made laundry products: STPP. Once I found that out, the front loader worked much better - but I also amassed quite a collection of detergents I'd try out. Right now I've settled down to a fairly predictable few: Sears Ultra Plus HE supplemented 33% by weight with STPP, for nearly all laundry, and a mild liquid like Safeway Select HE free or Costco's latest herbal scented HE liquid for bath towels and delicates that might be harmed by a harsh alkaline powder.

My Arsenal

I used to be a one-brand man, but it has grown recently.

Detergents:
All Small & Mighty w/Snuggle (good for towels and bedding)
Surf Small & Mighty Sunshine Lemons and Bergamot (great for freshening)
2x Ultra Tide Coldwater (removes most stains, but extremely expensive)
Ariel Colour Excel Gel (keeps reds from mixing and freshens well)

Softeners:
Snuggle Cuddle Up Fresh
Downy April Fresh

Stain Removers:
Spray 'n Wash Max
2x Ultra Clorox 2 Stain Fighter and Color Booster

Specialty:
Woolite

Bleach:
Clorox Coldwater (We have a coldwater bleach!)
