I've been doing some moving things around the last couple of weeks and today finished putting the North room back together. The sets are all together now and what a great look it is to have the blast of turquoise when you enter the room only to have your breath taken away by the 57 Control Towers at the end.

Greg those just look STUNNING all together like that! The 59's are my favorite! Great you got the matching dryer for it.

Re: Ugly Plug behind

Hey! Greg, why don't you find some kind of Pix's to place over the Plug, to cover it up, or if anything, Paint it the same Color as the Wall {except for the outlet area, unless you turn off the electricity first} {LOL}

Greg, the room is just breath-taking!! You have really changed things around. That turquoise set is something else!! Terry

I just looked at that first picture again Greg, did you put down floor tile? It sure looks great. Terry

Just Beautiful

Greg,

You are so lucky. I could just stand there and stare
at those machines for hours. Of course I'd have to
turn them on and play too! Enjoy, as I'm sure you do.

That is a great set up! Are the WO's across from the Ultra-Clean? What do you suppose makes that '59 dryer so special-------is it "just because"?

Thanks guys - it's surprising how much work it is to "move this over there and this over here..." it takes hours to move washers and dryers! Each one has to be un-hooked, moved, reconnected, levelled, on and on...

No new floor, same painted mess that has always been in there. In fact, I was surprised at how nice it looked in the pics - in real-time it's scratched and scraped up pretty bad.

Steve, I think the Frigidaire dryer is such a great dryer because of the lower air-flow. My 68 Frigidaire was the same design. Less amounts of air moving through the dryer tends to be not as harsh on the clothes, they may take a little bit longer to dry, but the softness is worth it.

very cool!

Every time I see those control towers I like them more. What a shame they were only made for a year, and so long ago too! Nothing today is so cool looking!
Beautiful basement Greg, I am looking forward to seeing it in person!

Showroom Style

Wow, thats a Showroom Sheen or what, looking FAB, please tell me the Maytags still exist??

Too all of you out there starting off with a corner in a basement, spare room or just just having found the "One" appliance you`ve always wanted and think you wont get another...

Please set yourself the goal of equipping the room with power, water & decorations....its easier to add appliances to a georgous "ready to move into room" than ship it all out when you had 5 and now its 55.....ohh, how do I know that!!!!

Mike
