We are in the process of refinancng one of our homes, I'm not sure about other areas of the country, But the Adjuster for Market Value was amazed that we had 2 Laundry Rooms, and he mentioned that homes with 2 laundries have an increase of $5000.00 to $12000.00 or more value because of it, adding another Hot Water Heater for the demand (considering I have 3 Bathrooms, and a second Kitchen) would put our home at the higher end of the scale.....something to think about when remodeling or upgrading, a little money gives a large return....

and some people think were nuts for having so many machines!

little do they know!

Cool! I wonder if a well thought out and designed laundry chute would add any additional value?

"and some people think were nuts for having so many machines!"

Eh, it's the ignorant ones that don't understand, especially when it comes to the older model machines :)

I rather doubt it, considering the fact that a laundry chute can act as a chimney in a house fire. Not to mention the various hazards for small children.

Good to know. I have two laundry areas in the home I redid, unfortunately the market is so bad I have to lease it for a few years before I can hopefully sell it for a bit more than I can get today.

I have 4 people that have caught on to have several laundry rooms and several machines, and their ALL in amazement over the amount of laundry they are getting done do fast, most already had hookups, and never thought about it, but now glad they did....one is looking for a new home, and making sure the new one can accomodate at least 2 sets again, I have one niece who doesnt have the space but replaced standard TL for 2 sets of FL stacked in her kitchen, my kind of thinking
