When I saw the picture of that woman, the first word that came to mind: SKANK!

I'm seriously wondering what the "controlled substance" was. My bets are on METH! She looks like the type to do something of that nature.

What does one do with a controlled substance that is considered misconduct? Can the substance be touched inappropriately? Is it all in where you stash it? Does the substance have the right not to be misused?

And, how does one do it 6 times?

I saw an interesting blog yesterday about the Palin-Johnston connection (no pun intended). Palin was using the "guilt by association" logic to try to link Obama to Ayers. Yes they had served on a community board together (The Annenberg Challenge Foundation....Walter and Lenore Annenberg were well known socialist radicals....) but were not friends socially. Using Palin's own logic, she DOES associate and socialize with "known drug users/felons" and deserves to be tarred and feathered in the same manner as she attempted to tar and feather Obama.
 
As most parents know, they don't always have control over who their children let ejaculate inside of them but giving them guidance and teaching by example is probably the best way to keep them out of trouble. Hmmmm...

Since the baby is due today, we'll have to see how big of a hootenanny they throw for the happily betrothed couple. If there were any doubt about Palin's child-rearing values, her sad and pathetic show of motherhood with their youngest child and becoming a grandmother with a high school dropout teenage daughter should make the world see the hypocrisy of her entire image. One would think most people would be shamed into scraping those McCain-Failin stickers off their bumpers in a big hurry. I haven't seen one in over a month now.

Also agree with others here who as soon as they saw that skank could see meth written all over her ugly hillbilly mug.

I really hope the Palins are going to become TMZ subject matter going forward and that the governor is reduced to the political joke that we all know she is. The only problem is that tabloid programs don't venture out of L.A. or N.Y. much, let alone the rest of the lower 48. No question that this is classic Springer material.
 
Couldn't you just picture a meth lab in the basement of the White House. Too scary to think about. Like I said in October, that whole f'ing clan should just stick to inbreeding, and get the hell out of the news.

Honestly im SICK of Palin. Wish she would just go away. Unfortunately she gives good TV ratings, so media outlets will continue to feature her.

SNL would probably mention it on Weekend Update, but the show is on hiatus until Jan/Feb and by then it might be old news.

It's kind of amazing how people have been giving the Palins a free pass on such matters. On the one hand, they generally have a holier than thou disdain for people with unconventional lifestyles. And on the other hand, they excuse Palin by claiming it's just a sign that's she's an ordinary person and not some "washington politician". Although I seem to remember a mayor of DC getting busted for dealing drugs as well... lol...
 
I don't think Tina Fey would be willing to participate in any post-election Palin skit, and particularly one that involves more than just parrotting Palin for laughs.

No worries about SNL being tasteless. That's a given as they've made fun of disabled and deformed people this season, stooping to lows I've never witnessed in the 30+ years the show has been running, including those with the abominable second set of cast members that nearly sent the show to the cancelation bin. Until the Palin thing came up this season, I had given up on SNL, unable to stomach the lame skits within the show's first 15 minutes and as a general rule, shutting the TV off by that point.

The Fey/Palin thing gave the show a boost but it will likely deteriorate again when they go back into production for the rest of the season. They are in serious need of new writers or the show is toast. They've used up all nine lives and then some over the years and are lucky NBC didn't cut them when they had good reason to in the past. Amy Pohler's gone. Can the entire show be far behind with her out of the picture?

Im confused on the whole SNL thing parody-ing the less than perfect...why is this news? I seem to recall a weekend update
skit involving Chevy Chase repeating the top story of the day aided by Garrett Morris for the hearing impaired.

Our top story tonite...says Mr Chase

a circle appears and Garrett Morris cups his hands together and screames at the top of his lungs OUR TOP STORY TONITE...

and on it went.I thought and still do think it was halarious. Come on people none of us are perfect...we are quickly forgetting how to laugh at ourselves

I'd like to ask the peanut galley a few questions.

Mind you, I am no fan of Sarah Palin, but how is she responsible for the actions of the mother of Levi Johnston?
Secondly, we can raise our children with every value in the book, but in the end,teenagers do what they want and there is not much a parent can do to stop it.
Trust me, I was a terror as a teenager and had a wonderful and stable home filled with alot of love. I'd like to think I turned out quite well in the end.
I hope only the best for Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin,especially since they will both be responsible for bringing a new life into this world.

Now lets move on from the catty, partisan posts and discuss
something worthwhile.

How is this not worthwhile? We all know that it's likely (however tragic) that Ms. Failin will attempt to run for a national political office one day in the no-so-distant-future. It's important that remember exactly who she is and the background of experience, or lack thereof, that she brings to the table so that she can be soundly thumped (again) and sent packing back to the wilderness where she belongs.

On Being Catty And Judgmental: Normally, Shane, I'd be right in there with you on that point. Unfortunately, I have an almost irresistible urge to poke the pious with a sharp stick; especially those whose shtick trades on anti-intellectualism.

Since this particular situation involves someone merely in Palin's orbit, it's almost a 'poke by proxy'. But I'll take that, meager as it is.
 
Until Palin/Fey came along, more often than not I'd fall asleep within the 1st half hour of SNL this season. It just hasn't been all that good, comedy-wise. And since Fey left Weekend Update, even that hasn't been much of a draw.

I hear, however, that Jimmy Fallon is replacing Conan on that late late night talk show, when Conan moves to replace Jay Leno. And then Leno is starting a talk show in prime time, which I hope to miss (I find Leno to be generally mean and unfunny). Remains to be seen if O'Brien can preserve his nutty edgy brand of humor in the earlier time slot - esp. once he's moved from NYC to LA.

As far as poking fun at Palin - well, if she doesn't want to garner attention, negative or otherwise, she should leave politics. It's pretty clear she's not the brightest bulb on the tree.
