Frigidaire dw LFID2459VF1A, customer says it is stuck in drain mode, which I think means that some water got to a float switch. I dry it up. Then what? Am I on the right track? I have worked on only a few of these units.

Well, the water gotta come from somewhere.
If they just moved the unit, that could have caused that.
But that seems unlikely.

Other typical areas are the inlet and sump areas.
Or drain hoses.
Usually, if it's a slow leak, you can see streaks where it is.
But leak search can be very annoying on a DW.

If the machine does not turn out to have a leak, a broken or clogged pressure switch can cause continuous draining as well.

Though these should indicate an error code and the 2 are very different.
