I remember years ago
people were complaining that the early Duet's didn't use enough water. Now, when you compare my 2005 Duet to modern FL washers, it uses PLENTY of water. But at the time, there was a hack for this all over the internet how to increase water levels. There is a screw to adjust...I adjusted it per instructions (carefully) and I noticed a lot of inconsistencies....One load - the water level would be higher than the next load (in all cases it used MORE water) but it was always much more water than I wanted. What happened (in my case) is that you needed to turn the screw a little, then start a cycle to check the water level.. I kept doing this, making small adjustments and saw absolutely no difference with each small turn......then finally, out of nowhere, there was more water, but way way WAYYYY too much... I could never find the adjustment where it just increased it a small amount, which is all I wanted. So I moved everything back the way it was and haven't touched it since.
Not sure how it would work with the LG's, but with my machine, it was so frustrating. I would go from factor water level to half way up the door with a tiny turn of the screw. No in between.
