LG WM4000H Front load washer for the win

Wirecutter tested a dozen washers an as many here can attest the LG WM4000 came out on top with Electrolux and GE close behind. 

 

Lots of good info, backing up what many here have found, it terms of detergent amount and avoiding overloading the machine further down in the article.

Small sample size considerations

Then when you look at CR's ratings you'll see all 12 or so LG front loaders all ahead of that Elux, even another Elux is higher rated than the one they tested.
